Inside each of us is an inner sanctum. It is that part of us that is sacred, that part that where few, if any, people are allowed. We hold onto that secret our entire lives. We tell little to no one because we are terrified of being hurt. But, it is that part of us that we must face head-on, and despite our fears, we must nurture it so it will grow.
This is where our dreams and passions lie. They are unique to us, and if we are to find the sweet cheese of life, we must exercise their powers. If we don’t, the bacteria will grow more and more miserable pus, and we will slowly die an agonizing death. When we release this infection from our body we will grow and flourish. We will recover, grow fresh skin, and be as bright and wonderful as a spring daisy. People will delight in having us in their world. We will make our mark on the world, and the universe will conspire to bring greatness to everything around us.
Imagine taking a look at your inner self as being separate from you. Have you ever done that? Have you ever stopped for a second and said, “Oh wow, look at the way I am behaving.” Or, “Why do I feel this way?” Perhaps, “Look at the way I’ve dressed” “How do those words and ideas just pop into my head?” Have you noticed how you do that? Your noticing your brain work, your body operate, your emotions feel, your mouth talk, your eyes see, and so forth. This part that notices and observes seems to be separate from yourself. It’s your mind, your Super Ego. It’s you observing that three dimensional part of your self. It’s like you’re a three dimensional being living within a fourth dimension that experiences all.
According to Wikipedia, “In physics, space time is any mathematical model that combines space and time into a single interwoven continuum. The spacetime of our universe is usually interpreted from a Euclidean space perspective, which regards space as consisting of three dimensions, and time as consisting of one dimension, the “fourth dimension”. In cosmology, the concept of spacetime combines space and time to a single abstract universe.” Now I’m no scientist, and I do not propose to have studied everything there is to know about the fourth dimension, but it seems to me we might learn something here about perspective of ourselves and the way we make decisions in this world.
Are we not three dimensional beings living in a period of time? Per Wikipedia, “Time is a measure in which events can be ordered from the past through the present into the future, and also the measure of durations of events and the intervals between them. Time is often referred to as the fourth dimension, the first three dimensions being the spatial dimensions.” It’s pretty straightforward to understand the three dimensions in which we see. It’s our ability to see three sides of an object. If we couldn’t every thing would appear like a picture on the wall. Isn’t it interesting how in the mirror you can only see yourself as a two dimensional image, yet you look to the person next to you and you three them in three dimensions. Weird, huh? A picture and a mirror have a longitude and a latitude, but they don’t have the third vector that displays their depth. Well, all the while this analyzing of the three dimensions is going on in front of the mirror, a fourth dimension has been occurring…..Time. And what’s cool is, if you’ve been paying attention, a certain amount of time has transpired in which you have witnessed your behavior. So you have been existing in a space time continuum, and thus you are part of a fourth dimension too. Could all of this relate to the mind, or Super Ego?
I bring all of this up because, one, I am fascinated by it all, and two I think it relates to the fear we have within us. We are so aware of everything we do on a moment by moment basis, that we literally talk our selves into and out of doing things. And many times we base our decisions on fear, rather than strength. You’ve heard the expression, “Come from strength!”. Well, while you’re spending you’re time observing this and that, why not take a risk, face your fears, act courageously, and create a space time continuum of success, happiness, and joy.
This sounds excellent!!
